The statues were part of the renowned Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming's Tai Chi Collection, first displayed during the 2009 NCKU Environmental Art Festival. The piece fully captures Ju's extreme interpretation of space, finding balance in movement and outwardly parading life's vitality. It also coincides with the culture of academic sparring at NCKU.
