NCKU is a comprehensive university with a national-level medical center that is tasked with investigating diseases endemic to southern Taiwan. In the past, NCKU provided valuable research on dengue fever and the enterovirus. Nowadays, it has a clinical trial center and excellent biomedical research teams. It has also integrated its existing talents in various fields, including science; engineering; electrical engineering and computer science; management; and planning and design, into the innovative “Center of Biomedical Excellency & Synergy in Taiwan.” This center works with industry to advance the biomedical technology industry and establish the next economic wave of innovation.
