NCKU Hospital opened its doors in 1988, becoming the first university hospital to be established after the retreat of the government of the Republic of China to Taiwan. It is also the largest and most robust teaching hospital in Southern Taiwan.

成大醫院於1988年正式啟用，為中華民國政府遷臺以來設立的第一家國立大學附設醫院，也是南部最大規模的大學醫學中心及設備完善的教學醫院。
