There is a century-old rain tree on Jiadong Avenue in front of the Department of Geomatics building. When the summer sunshine penetrates its gently swaying leaves, the road becomes dappled with uneven patches of light. The tree has a vast canopy that offers shade, like the honest style of study of this department. Over the years, the tree has accompanied a countless number of students in growing and thriving under the warm sunshine.
