The South Physics Building is one of the oldest structures in the university. Built in 1930, it was the venue for the first-ever opening ceremony of NCKU while housing various laboratories and administrative offices. Today, it is designated as a historic monument in Taiwan and used as a physics laboratory.
物理系館南棟為成大創校最古老的建築之一，落成於1930年，不但在此舉行第一屆學生入學宣誓典禮，同時還兼作各科實驗室、行政辦公室使用，現為臺南市定古蹟，並作為物理研究實驗室所用。
