The Industrial Design Department stresses the design concept of “benevolence.” Its goal is to create comfortable, safe, and eco-friendly products and environments. The department is housed inside a former Imperial Japanese Army Second Infantry Regiment barracks that is also known as Dacheng Hall. This building was previously used as an administration building and by the Department of Naval Architecture and the Night School Division.
